News Clarification: MCOT TV

Ref: MCOT/ 6104 (1) / 2459 September 5, 2005 The Stock Exchange of Thailand Attn: The President Re: News Clarification : MCOT Television project Aborted or Delayed Dear Sir: With reference to the news regarding the MCOT TV project, which was stated as a future plan of the Company in the Offering Circular dated on 21 October 2005 for MCOT IPO shares, has been aborted or delayed without the properly inform to the public through the SET channel, MCOT would like to clarify that all the headlines in the newspaper are twisted from the fact. Specifically, the MCOT TV project is stated in the Offering Circular in Section 2 on the sector of Risk Factors No. 1.1.6 and Future Plan No.6.2 that "....the Company is commissioning a detailed study from an independent third party consultant to assist the Company in evaluating in detail the return and investment as well as implementation plan. Management will consider the projected capital investment and projected costs, returns of the project, and other supporting factors before deciding whether to proceed." Therefore, no indication that the Company has decided to proceed the project already. And the Company would like to inform that L.E.K. Consulting (ASIA PACIFIC) LLP is acting as the advisor of this project, and L.E.K. already submitted the feasibility study to the Board of the Company Meeting No.3/2005 dated 23 March 2005. The resolutions are as follows : The Meeting acknowledged the feasibility study proposed by L.E.K. Consulting (ASIA PACIFIC) LLP and instructed the management to follow up on : 1. To do additional feasibility study 2. To seek for strategic partners As a result, the resolution above does not point out the conclusion as written in the newspaper. Currently, the project is under the preliminary study stage. The result of the additional feasibility study will be submitted to the Board of the Company, and then the resolution of the Meeting will be informed to SET.
