Subject Accounting Policy adjustment of investment in subsidiaries
To President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand
Since January 1, 2007, MCOT Public Company Limited changed its
accounting policy for investments in subsidiaries from the equity method to
cost method in the Company's financial statements to be in compliance with
the Notification of Federation of Accounting Profession No.26/2549 according
to the Accounting standard No.44 titled The Consolidate financial statement
and Accounting on investments in subsidiaries (adjusted #1)
The Company has retroactively restated the Company's financial
statements for the three-month and six-month periods ended June 30, 2006,
presented herein for comparison,and has effect on the Company's balance sheet
as at December 31, 2006 and the Company's statements of income for three-
month and six-month periods ended June 30, 2006 (Notes to Financial Statements
No. 2)
